Jackie Frain ("JF") is a certified Japanese shamisen instructor in Louisville, Kentucky. She teaches shamisen in the jiuta genre, predominantly in the Ikuta-ryu & Miyagi styles. She has received her kaiden menjo (certification) from Soumei Ongaku-kai. Her lively yet informative teaching style helps students to gain a deeper understanding of the shamisen as well as Japanese culture.
